Day 124 - shopping one of these days, yay! Not only clothes, need to buy green/orange/white tea too. As I noted, water is hard to drink so I do my best to replace it with equal amount of tea. The co-worker said at such low temperature in this winter cold one must never starve and always eat, not skipping meals (did she say it guessing I'm on a diet or just judging by how I look?), preferably mutton and other super-nutritious food to always feel warm. Mutton my a$$! The scale got frozen again, so any heavy dishes are out of question. I can't stop no matter how cold it is outside; sure I'd love to eat a piece of greasy juicy meat - but heck, next day my hips won't squeeze in skinny jeans! I've cut down calories, I return from work lion-hungry but cannot do anything about it. I don't want to lose and start anew, I move too slowly to let myself even a tiny rest. So you got it, no mutton, no potato, no warm milk with cookies at night. Instead, I feed my brain before sleep. Besides, when I told my family what my co-worker had said about substantial food, Mom reacted, 'It's true! You must eat, and a lot!' to which I commented, 'It's not true! Or do you want to run around like a headless chicken in spring blaming yourself for having eaten 'that piece of cake' or 'those fries and burger' in winter, striving to get rid of odd fat and unneeded kilos??! Isn't it easier to resist a minute temptation and not eat and not get fatter in winter and then feel beautiful and healthy and ready for bikini season? Or do you want, like other people living by this myth, eat whatever you want throughout the winter in the hope the stored fat would miraculously melt by summer? But then reality hits you that oh no, guess you'll have to workout to shake this fat off and even go on a diet to slip in your swimsuit which has gotten yet tinier after a year. This is the way most lazy weak-willed live. And I am not among them. So don't you even try to reassure me I must eat more. More means fat, less means strength and excellent figure ready for a bikini season all year round.'
With this, satisfyingly enough, the discussion was over. I'm glad I managed to drive my point home and make Mom view her eating habits from a completely different angle. Some real awesome thinspo here - http://tcathinspiration.wordpress.com/
