Day 93 – went to the kitchen at night for a snack, a cookie, a crumb of a cake, anything, as if unconsciously, before seeing the scale menacing from beneath the chair. So I stepped up on it, out of habit, saw the figure, and stepped off. After which the idea of a cookie vanished on its own. Instead, just poured a cup of water, drowned it, and got back to my room, the hope of a late bite already off my mind. I simply cannot allow myself such a big luxury as eating at night. Not until I am at the UGW. Not until then. Thankfully, I’m past the plateau, thought I’d never get off of it.
